I spent a pleasant few hours volunteering on the Alison McGregor this evening, navigating through Southampton Water, the River Itchen, and Ocean Village. If only I had $23 million, I too could moor like the super yacht, the Phoenix.

I spent another wonderful afternoon volunteering on the Alison McGregor, accompanied by a delightful crew and fellow volunteers. It was a pleasant excursion, observing the five cruise ships in port: Mein Schiff 3, P&O’s Iona, Norwegian Getaway, MSC Virtuosa, and P&O’s Aurora. The trip also included a visit to Ocean Village, where we admired the yachts and boats.

A wonderful afternoon volunteering on the Alison McGregor, enjoying a break from driving. It's always a pleasure to welcome people with disabilities and their carers, watching them enjoy the sights of various vessels. Today's first trip to Eling Tide Mill was great, seeing people and a large group of youngsters at Goatee Beach enjoying music, which was much better than the loud music from MSC Virtuosa as it sailed down Southampton Water.

It’s been an enjoyable day today volunteering on the Alison McGregor travelling up and down the Itchen River and seeing the cruise ships Sky Princess & Cunard’s Queen Victoria in Southampton Docks, the weather at certain times of the day hasn’t quite played ball.

I enjoyed a pleasant break from driving to participate in annual training aboard the Alison McGregor. The training was conducted on the Rivers Test and Itchen, where we navigated past cruise ships in Southampton Docks, including P&O’s Arcadia and Iona, as well as the Sky Princess. I am eagerly anticipating the start of the season this upcoming weekend.
